Update, September 2026. Auto CPA bidding is generally available and self-serve on all six formats — everything this post says about it still holds, and it is no longer labelled beta. CPA pricing stays in beta and is no longer self-serve: it runs on direct-publisher In-Page Push and Popunder inventory only, and it works when the conversion you pay for is a registration or an install rather than a deposit further inside your funnel, so we now enable it per account on request. Both still require S2S postback tracking. See CPA & Auto CPA for what applies today.
Until today, buying on Adexium meant CPM or CPC: you paid for impressions or clicks and carried the conversion risk yourself. That changes with two releases that both optimize for the same number, your cost per conversion, at two different levels of control.
CPA pricing is a new billing model: you name the price of a conversion and pay only when it happens. Auto CPA is a new bid strategy: billing stays CPM/CPC, but instead of a fixed bid you set a goal, and the bidder does the per-source work a media buyer normally does by hand.
CPA pricing
The simplest possible deal: you define what a conversion is (via S2S postback), set the price you’re willing to pay for it, and that’s the only thing you’re ever charged for. No conversion, no charge. The volume risk moves from your budget to the network.
- Formats: In-Page Push and Popunder
- Beta, on request (changed September 2026): ask your account manager, and we agree the conversion event and geos before enabling it
- Tracking: conversions arrive through the same postback you already use for reporting
CPA pricing fits offers with a fast, well-defined conversion event — a registration, an install, a subscription — where you know your economics and want a fixed acquisition cost from day one. It does not fit a deposit or a purchase sitting several steps deeper in your funnel: that step depends on your landing page and payment flow rather than on the traffic, and pricing it per conversion has cost advertisers time and us inventory.
Auto CPA
Auto CPA works like target-CPA bidding in Google Ads, but on pop, push, and Telegram inventory. You keep CPM/CPC billing and full campaign control; what changes is who calculates the bids.
Here is what the bidder actually does with your goal:
- Per-source bids. For every traffic source, the bid is derived from your target and that source’s real conversion rate on your campaign. A placement that converts gets bid up; a weak one gets bid down, automatically and per source.
- Hard cutoffs. A source whose realized CPA runs above 3× your target is dropped from the auction entirely. Budget stops flowing to traffic that misses the goal.
- Continuous learning. Conversion stats refresh every few minutes. New sources enter on a conservative baseline and graduate to per-source optimization as their own conversions accumulate, with a hard bid cap protecting you while the algorithm is still learning.
Auto CPA is available on all six formats (Popunder, In-Page Push, Web Push, Telegram Mini Apps, Bot Messages, and iMe) and it’s a per-campaign toggle: switch an existing campaign from Fixed bid to Auto CPA (or back) at any time.
The whitelist effect, automated
We’ve published the manual version of this playbook before. In the Philippines popunder case study, two independent advertisers cut CPA from $37–56 to $1.30–1.72 by moving converting placements into a whitelist by hand. In the TMA postback case study, an advertiser reached $0.04 CPA the same way: postbacks in, weak sources out.
Auto CPA runs that loop for you, continuously, at a per-source granularity no human checks hourly. The discovery campaign, the conversion analysis, the whitelist rebuild are now the bidder’s job. Your job is a realistic target and a postback that fires.
What you need to start
One prerequisite: conversion tracking. Auto CPA is gated on it and unlocks itself once your account has registered a test conversion or a real one; CPA pricing needs the same tracking plus a word with your manager. Setup is about 5 minutes in the Tracking section, with macros for Voluum, Keitaro, Binom, RedTrack, and BeMob, or a plain S2S call from your backend.
Everything else is standard Adexium: $100 minimum deposit, self-serve dashboard, real-time stats down to the source level so you can watch what the algorithm is doing with your money.
The full breakdown, including the FAQ on how CPA pricing and Auto CPA differ and when to use which, lives on the new CPA & Auto CPA page. Or skip the reading: create a campaign, flip the toggle, and set your number.
